THE STORY

An Australian actor, writer, and book editor based in India, Carl is a versatile creator with an inquiring mind, and a broad array of interests. With his practicality and near fanatical dedication, Carl’s work is infused with depth, colour, and his ineffable enthusiasm.

Carl regularly appears in Indian cinema and television, a novel adaptation of the theatrical skills he honed in Western classical opera. Essaying roles in Bollywood, Kollywood, and Tollywood, he has garnered praise in the media for his acting.

Carl’s literary skills have brought him recognition from readers, critics and other authors alike, along with an eLit award. Spanning biography – the critically acclaimed Jacinda Ardern: Leading with Empathy – to the documenting of his personal experience in Building Your Own Home: Tips, Techniques and Thoughts for the Owner Builder (for which he won his eLit Award), Carl’s writing evinces meticulousness and imagination. His thoughtful editing has helped numerous authors polish their creations for successful publishing.

THE ACTOR

In 2021, Carl and Supriya Vani released their major biography of New Zealand’s celebrated Prime Minister. Jacinda Ardern: Leading with Empathy garnered critical acclaim and attention from readers, across the globe. Paul Monk of the Australian lauded it ‘an inspiring read’, while Anne Foley in the American Library Association’s Booklist described it as a ‘readable, admiring biography’. Carl’s first published book, Building Your Own Home: Tips, Techniques and Thoughts for the Owner Builder, earned him an eLit Gold Award.
